Cheryl Levin

Bala Cynwyd, PA

After years of producing representational pictures dealing with themes of woman's identity and gender roles, Cheryl Levin’s shift to abstraction was a direct result of the hardships she faced in her life and wanting a more free format for expression. Her new work reclaims her late husband’s discarded metal cut- offs as inspiration by incorporating them into the work and most recently has given voice to installation pieces. Levin is a recipient of the Ester and Adolf Foundation Arts Grant, New York City, NY and The Artist Fellowship Arts Grant, New York City, NY.
