Who We Are

Mission

Creating United Empowerment (CUE) is a charitable online art gallery representing women and genderqueer artists. We donate 40% of our sales to nonprofit organizations that empower women* to thrive in the face of oppression. We focus this support on survivors of sexual/domestic violence, LGBTQIA+ people, and women of ethnic/racial minorities.

*CUE is inclusive and accepting of all people who  identify with, as, or stand with women.

Our Commitment To Diversity

At Creating United Empowerment, feminism isn’t just a buzzword. Our mission is based on supporting all movements for equality. We welcome, value, and rely on the diversity of our experiences and perspectives. We learn from each other and want to be held accountable for our actions. If there is anything that Creating United Empowerment or one of our partners says or does that is insensitive, please reach out to us at hello@cue.community.

Leadership

Davinica Nemtzow

Founder/Executive Director

Davinica is the Founder and Executive Director of Creating United Empowerment and a firm believer that art and philanthropy should be accessible to everyone. She graduated with honors with a BFA in Illustration and Creative Writing from Moore College of Art & Design, the country's only all-women visual arts college. At Moore, she found her identity as a feminist, leader, and artist. With a commitment to tikkun olam (the Jewish philosophy of repairing the world), Davinica is passionate about using her design skills to support nonprofits and companies with a social justice mindset. Around the 2017 Women's March, she knew that she needed to find a way to help bridge the gap between her art and activism and wanted to help others do the same. While she is proudly part of her individual art, LGBTQIA+, and Jewish communities, Davinica works through Creating United Empowerment to cultivate her own community of women and genderqueer artists who empower each other to become leaders in the arts.

Davinica is committed to her work with Creating United Empowerment in part because of her own experience with an eating disorder, depression, and as a survivor of sexual violence and abuse. While it can be difficult, she is passionate about sharing her story to empower other survivors to see the exceptional strength within themselves and to nurture an altruistic culture for our most vulnerable communities of women to thrive.
