Sarah Tropio is an artist that primarily works in non-ferrous metals but also enjoys experimenting with other materials like found objects and fabric dying. The works she creates is a representation of personal history and world history that is reflected through experiences from travel, everyday life, and immersing herself into textbooks of architecture.
Sarah received a BFA in Fine Arts from Moore College of Art & Design. Tropio was honored to receive the Harriet Sartain Travel Fellowship in 2017 to visit Florence and Venice Italy. She also received a student scholarship from the Society of American Goldsmiths to attend their 2017 conference in New Orleans. Tropio is a member of Society of American Goldsmiths and Enamel Guild North East. Tropio has experience working as a small metal’s monitor at Moore and production intern at Forge & Finish Jewelry.
